Finding Your Balance
Source: Composed by John Sweeney
Formation: Contra; Becket (CW)

A1 Four Balanced Changes:
Give Right Hand to Neighbour: Balance Forward & Back; Pull By
Give Left Hand to Partner: Balance Forward & Back; Pull By
A2 Give Right Hand to Neighbour: Balance Forward & Back; Pull By
Give Left Hand to Partner: Balance Forward & Back; Pull By
B1 Balance the Ring; Men Cross
Balance the Ring; Ladies Cross
B2 Half Promenade across the set (or Right & Left Through)
Yearn on the Left Diagonal to New Neighbours

Music:
Lively jigs.

Notes:
Crossings are done by the right shoulder, like half a Gypsy to change places.

Yearn: Take your partner's nearest hand, go forward diagonally to meet a new couple; turn so that you are facing them; back away to finish facing them as your new neighbours.

I designed this as an easy dance for new dancers to get used to going the right way around four changes. The balance means they have a hand to look for and time to re-orientate.
