Sicilian Ladies

Source: Composed by John Sweeney
Formation: Sicilian Circle

A1 Circle Left; Circle Right
A2 Ladies' Chain x2
B1 [Men Cross Over; Ladies Cross Over] x2
B2 Swing & Change (i.e. Polka or Swing 1.5 times around the other couple) OR
With Men's Left Shoulders close together: Promenade in a Line of Four 1 & 1/2 times around and on to the next couple

Music:
Any suitable 32 bar tune. I use The Moving Violations' Dancing Vivaldi & The Skater.

Notes:
A simple, standard Sicilian Circle to practise Ladies' Chains and Swing & Change. But if the group is not up to doing Swing & Change then the Promenade in a Line of Four works well. One couple can be doing the promenade and the other couple can polka around them if they wish. Note: Unless you are doing the polka then Ballroom Hold Swings don't work well for progressions.
